We recommend flying into Kotoka International Airport (ACC).
The official currency of Ghana is the Ghanaian Cedi (GHS). You will maximize your dollars by bringing large-denomination U.S. bills such as $50s or $100s. Money changers in Ghana typically provide better exchange rates for these larger bills. You should bring enough money to cover meals that are not included, souvenirs you may want to purchase, alcoholic beverages, snacks, and any emergencies that may arise. Most guests find that $20 to $50 USD per day is appropriate for their personal spending needs.
To reserve a package each group member pays the $100.00 per person fee. The first payment of $450 is due on or before December 15, 2025. The second payment of $450 per person is due on or before January 15, 2026. The final payment (remaining balance) is due on or before March 15, 2026. If the announced payment dates have passed contact us for our current payment plan. Any payments after the due date will incur late fees and is subject to cancellation. If you would like to make payments between due dates you may do so by clicking on the BUY NOW tab above and following the prompts.
Yes, we can accommodate any size group, but due to hotel regulations the max occupancy per room is four. This why you see pricing up to four.
To help you prepare with confidence, we have created the following pre-trip checklist. These steps ensure that you meet all entry requirements and have everything you need for a smooth and enjoyable travel experience. The three most essential items to secure as early as possible are your visa, yellow fever vaccination, and antimalarial medication. 1. Obtain Your Visa: You will need a visa to enter Ghana. Please visit the official Embassy of Ghana website for the most up-to-date instructions and requirements. You can find their information at: https://washington.mfa.gov.gh/terms-and-conditions 2. Get Your Yellow Fever Vaccination: You must receive a yellow fever vaccination, and you must bring the accompanying yellow fever certificate. This is the only vaccination required for entry into Ghana, and customs officials will request to see your certificate upon arrival. Most travelers receive this vaccine at their local Department of Public Health. Antimalarial pills are strongly recommended even though they are not required. We will provide mosquito spray upon your arrival. 3. Submit Your Flight Information: Once you have secured your flights, please send your travel itinerary to our team so we can coordinate your arrival and provide any necessary support. 4. Review and Complete Your Packing: After your flights are confirmed, please review our packing list and begin preparing your luggage. We strongly recommend bringing no more than one checked bag and one carry-on for this trip to ensure easy movement throughout the tour.
Every traveler is unique, and you may need additional items beyond what is listed here. This guide highlights the essentials to help you pack efficiently and comfortably. Items for Your Carry-On Bag: Please pack the following important items in your carry-on so they remain with you at all times: Valid passport Photocopy of your passport Yellow fever vaccination card Wallet and money Medications Phone Items for Your Checked Luggage: Please consider packing the following items in your checked bag: One All-White Outfit (comfortable shoes of any color; heels are not recommended) Pants, shorts, T-shirts, and one long-sleeved shirt Sneakers or hiking shoes, and sandals Pool and beach attire Rain jacket Sunglasses and a hat Shaving cream and razor Personal hygiene products Bug spray Sunscreen lotion
While vaccinations are strongly recommended, they are no longer required to travel with us internationally, as long as the country does not require it. Should a country change its policy and you choose not to comply please note we DO NOT offer refunds. We strongly suggest you purchase traveler insurance. You can make that purchase by clicking on the Travel Guard link in the lower right corner of the website. This is not a change in our policy and does not mean that negative test and perhaps health registrations will not be required, however you are now responsible for being informed on this matter. If a country does not require vaccinations vaccination cards may be required and that can with the airlines you are traveling with. The airline can confirm that requirement with you. We recommend that you confirm these requirements prior to your arrival to the airport so that you are informed. You are encouraged to plan responsibly.
Yes, you must have a valid passport with at least six (6) months of validity remaining beyond your travel dates. Airlines and immigration authorities will not allow travelers to board flights if their passport does not meet this requirement. It is important to check your passport early to ensure it is up to date. We do not provide refunds or credits for guests who fail to comply with this requirement and are unable to travel as a result.
Arriving at Kotoka International Airport is very similar to arriving at major airports in Europe or the United States. However, there are a few helpful tips that will make your arrival in Ghana smoother and less stressful. Tip #1: Keep Your Documents in Your Carry-On Please make sure your passport and yellow fever vaccination card are packed in your carry-on luggage. As long as you have these two items readily available, you will be able to enter Ghana without any issues. Tip #2: Have an Address Ready for Your Immigration Card You will need to provide a local address when completing your immigration form. You may use the following for convenience: Roots Hotel, F97/2 15th Lane, Osu Re, Accra, Ghana | Phone: 0307010274. Although you will not be staying at this hotel, having this information available will make filling out your immigration card much easier. Tip #3: Choose a Seat Toward the Front of the Plane If possible, try to select a seat near the front of the aircraft. This can significantly reduce your wait time at passport control. Even with Kotoka’s newer terminal, arriving at the back of the plane may result in waiting 90 minutes or more in the immigration line. Sitting closer to the front and heading directly to the immigration hall can save you considerable time and frustration. Tip #4: Expect Crowds After Baggage Claim Once you clear passport control, you will enter the baggage claim area. After collecting your luggage, walk outside the terminal. You may see individuals offering taxi services or luggage help. You do not need to engage with them, as our team will be there to meet you as quickly as possible. Tip #5: Don’t Worry If You Don’t See Us Immediately If you do not see our staff the moment you exit the airport, please stay calm. Delays are rare, but they can happen. Simply take a seat and relax. We will locate you promptly.
